Has anyone claimed the design of the Lexington class as they were to be built?

I'm betting you know this but just to clarify which design you are referring to There were 4 authorized designs for the Lexingtons:

1916 with 10x 14"

http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... 201941.png
1917 with 8x16"/45

1918 with 8x16"/50
http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... =13&t=1590
http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... 201941.png
and the carrier in 1922
http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... ratoga.png

I have a feeling the one you wanted was the 1918 design, and I'm not sure why it isnt on the main site, or where it is if it is. The 1917 version still hasn't been done if you wanted to try your hand at that I dont believe it was claimed.

It is indeed the 1918 one. The 1917 design which says 1918 is not the Lexington, btw.

Could you explain that comment please, the part about it not being Lexington, not the part about me putting the wrong date.

The text says it is a 1918 design for a battlecruiser. The text says it is a Constellation type battlecruiser, whether that is a another type or one of the Lexington class is not certain, although there were to be a USS Constellation CC-3, I believe.

I am thinking so, yes. I do have a few of the designs that are usable to draw from.
