My backup HDD crashed and I lost some of my drawings.

Does anybody have a copy of my Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker drawings plus the USCGC Alex Haley?

That's way I have two HDD in my computer and one laptop. (I learned it the hard way!)

For the drawing. If you have uploaded it to the forum at one time, then you must have saved it to you'r photo-host her on the web. go there and have a look around.

Two HDD's and external are no match for my kids who come home, download a game engine, play online with their friends ... virus downloaded ... priceless!!

I used to use photobucket, but because of their new policies, I no longer have account with them. I now use Dropbox.

That's why I use free anti-virus software. (they are often better than those ho cost something), I do also have Linux on my computer, if I get in trouble and need to do an clean up the old fashion way.

There is comparing a flash drive as a backup (although my earlier one was broken when the computer case fell of a shelf :( )
I do have Mega account (50GB of storage on line )

At that IT school I did go for a year! (did'n know what to do that year!) we had backup for the school:

- at the moderators home. in old fashion tapes!! (had to be redone every year, and they only did backup of key-point's)
- Several external HDD locked in down in two different banks.
- And backup stored at the government Server banks.
A little bit overkill for a small school, but it was a IT-school.

I use Linux as the OS on my computer. More stable and less prone to viruses than Windows. And also, no need to defragment your HDD (Linux's ext4 filesystem prevents file fragmentation).
