I wouldn't mind having a crack, assuming the class hasn't already been represented - I've been eyeing the Type 12 with a rapacious intent |

I think its still available Bill. After your Type 14 the Type 12 is only a small step away! |

Cheers Bill Was looking through the list of ships in the Task force and only plymouth remains the rest of the warships have been scrapped or sold off. Of the RFA's only Sir Tristram, Fort Austin & Fort Roaslie (Grange) remain. I see it periodically in the papers and on forums people talking about getting Hermes back from the Indians when they retire her but if we can't maintain a frigate what chance an Aircraft carrier. |

I wouldn't be interested in a preserved Hermes, and I agree a project that would be massively expensive. When tarvelling around the country I've visited some preserved ships, and they do attract a lot of visitors, which also benefits the locale. Given how she was left, the Plymouth would have been an excellent choice, but no, another opportunity missed I'm as flat as a lizard drinking at the moment - work, work, and then work, plus LP has me on the estate to assist with her grandiose landscaping plans for Portsmouth Towers, but I'll try to get back to my p.c. asap. |
