Would it be possible to (if cost were not an issue) replace the Mk.26 arm launchers with Mk.41 VLS cells of equivalent size on the Virginia-class Nuclear Powered Cruiser? |

Yes. Probably 32 cells forward, 48-64 aft. If you fill in the hanger you might get another 48, but then you start running into weight issues. |

I just want to replace the Mk.26 launchers. Also I was wondering if you could install more up to date air search radar? |

I'm actually doing a California-class SLEP; mind you those two were the last CGNs in service. The reason why I haven't posted it yet is, well, time and other projects. I am going to do a similar one for the USS Arkansas, the only remaining Virginia in service by 1996. |
