Post subject: | About Class and Units naming |
After some considerations made on WhyMe's comments I changed the way used before. Basically I'll use the following sequence, splitted on two rows if necessary: Nation, Vessel type + Class Name - Unit name (Years of operation) On the drawing of the head of the class I do not use the class name but I list all the units of the class itself. Moreover I think that basically the class name is "country" related: when a single ship is sold to another country she lost the original class becoming a "simple" units (or using different words the head of a single-unit class which, by deafult, has no class denomination) PS:please note the basic difference between a civil and a militarized icebreakers: the first ones is designated as IB while the second is an AGB (or WAGB in case od Coast Guard) |
