I am thinking about drawing a tank for my AU.

I am thinking about a Mk.5 design but about three to five times the size.

What guns should fit on a tank that size?

My guess is anything under 6''s.

Huzzah for ludicrous designs. Anything that size that early on is going to tremendous teething troubles. Power/weight is going to be a big problem especially considering you want it to be "three to five times the size" of the existing things which moved at walking pace, were unreliable and hazardous to the crew. My guess is whatever you do it will be overly cramped, a massive target for artillery, anti tank rifles and anything else that fancies a shot at it.

I am taking the consent of the "Landship" to the letter.

Right-oh. I'll just leave this topic alone then.

Why?

Landships? Get your head out of the clouds, all they become is slow moving cannon fodder, and the most amount of speed you could get out of it is a mile per hour, similar to the real life Shuttle Crawler operated by NASA. In combat it becomes a massive target that could easily be quelled by an enemy. Basically all you would have created is a giant redundant platform for light weaponry, which is at most what you would be able to operate without sacrificing what little speed could even be managed.

I'm sorry but it is a pointless design, and I can tell this was inspired by some video game or anime you've been entertained by.

Light weaponry? A six inch gun is not light weaponry.

Sir, I have not heard of this Anime I wonder what it is?

I know it isn't light weaponry, but on a tank this size, there would be no place to mount it where it could be effective because the amount of space would be taken up by the engines needed to move it. At most you could find some space for light weapons like some machine gun posts or possibly a heavier weapon such as an AA battery above it, but then what is the point of this behemoth even existing? Actually to support a six inch gun the tank doesn't even need to be near as large as that in the first place.

There are tons of landships in animes, in Gundam and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann especially.

Land ships do not work. They are too heavy and are massive targets for artillery and areal bombardment.
