Post subject:  Looking for a carrier.

I have just finished designing a battlecruiser for the Fallout Universe and know I wish to create something else. This would be an aircraft carrier for the Enclave. For my current idea, I want something the does NOT have an angled flight deck , is from WWII or soon after and is preferably US Navy. I was thinking something in the Essex or Midway classes. Unfortunately I havn't seen anything on SB that I could base my design off of yet. The aircraft would most likely be a compliment of P-80 Shooting Stars, F9F Panthers, and a few Vertibirds. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Someone attempted a Midway and there's an Essex floating around, just be sure to credit accordingly.

Maybe a Saratoga?

There is my Essex class Oriskany still around. Not the actual real life version, but one that began as part of the 'Coffee War' AU, then was kitbashed - the best one Hood did for his AU including the USN. I am now working on the real-life version, but it is going slow. I also recall seeing a WWII Essex sometime, but I can't recall who was working on it.

Yea that would certainly work, but I'm still having difficulty finding it on the Forums or SB. Could you possibly send me a link? If I were to use it I would most likely lengthen the hull, create a new bridge, and add different armament. I would definately love to see the Midway that someone made but I couldn't find that anywhere either.

I'll PM you over the weekend, when I'm home; and If I can find the WWII version I'll include that - plus any drawings that might help. You will defianetly want to do an earlier version if you are lookin at the WWII period.
