Hi there (first post) I'm running an online RPG with a brooklyn class cruiser (CL-40-48) as the characters ship. I wondered if anyone had any shots of the early war ship, i.e. as designed rather than with the upgraded AA and such? I would be most grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction P.s. I hope it's okay to ask |

There's plenty to be found using Google image search. Also, a member has drawn USS Nashville (CL-43) here: http://shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic. ... klyn#p8995 |

Isn't that model a late war variant though? At least by the armament it is. I believe pre-war it only had the 5 inch and the .50's as an AA armament. It later got a good bunch of 20mm's... Unless I'm badly wrong? |

No, you are right. It's just the closest thing on the forum to what you are looking for. |

Fair enough. No worries then I'll use that for now. I can always ignore the extra guns until they're fitted BTW, does anyone know when the additional AA armament was fitted? I know it wont be for a while (we're currently in mid 1940) but I am curious. |

Are you planning to use shipbucket images on your game? |

I would like to. They are good for details, and give a great sense of the look of the ship, which photographs don't a lot of the time, especially since the photo's are 60 years old. Plus, when I use a modified ship, I could have a go at making an image of it/asking someone very nicely |

No absolutely not. It's an online Play by post on another forum, using an RPG system that already exists. Once the rules mod is complete, I'm planning on putting it up as a free download on that forum (which is a fan forum for that RPG system) The forum is cortexsystemrpg.org the system is the cortex system by Margaret Weiss Publishing While I would like to use ship bucket drawings, if you would rather I didn't I wont. |
