Well put LEUT_East. My sentiments as for the passion (never done an own design ship, well almost never)
I feel that the purpose of this forum, and especially the main site archive is to produce a visual reference book (an Encyclopedia in fact), of ships, all in same style (well more or less as the style itself evolved), and the same scale.
I suggest we all turn to the drawings themselves, and continue the work.

As someone who gets critized (allot) i think it would be good to have a forum for guys who want to make silly futuristic 16 inch gatling laser nuclear battleships without fear of rejection or humiliation. Just dont add them to the official archive.

I like drawing for the asthetic. Not always worried about the fraud number or structural integrity in the strictest sense. Ive seen damn good artists get belittled for bad designs. I think its important to foster that talent because they may eventually draw real ships if not they may help those who are good at the science but not the art.

Thank you for tolerating my weird ships while I learn and improve.
