Awesome that a creditable magazine is using our artwork. Sucks that they choose not to credit the artist.

Yeah, I just want confirmation that it wasn't approved first. I'd hate to sent a C&D letter when the use was approved by the artist.

IIRC Alvama is the original artist, and as he was the one to post it here, it stands to reason they didn't get his approval.

My brother has been a railroad photographer for over 3 decades. His pictures have been in dozens of books and magazines as well as Amtrak brochures. He is always credited and paid for his photos, although his standard method of payment (at his request) is that the publisher give him 1 book per photo used in lieu of a check. He has managed to amass a pretty good collection of railroad books like that. But I digress. The point I was trying to make is that photographers are always credited and most times even paid for their work, why is the standard different for drawings?

Myself, I'm not on here to try and make money (good thing too, else I would surely be homeless and starving) BUT, if a magazine or book or website uses drawings from here they ought be credited same as photos are.

OK, down off my soapbox now.

Pardon me, but if it were my work that was in a book or magazine uncredited, I would be 'fuck'n pissed'

Pretty sure that is the case right now. Completely unacceptable practice for a publisher.
