And if you have an turbine ship... it's not just to lift the hood, because almost the entire ship bellow to somewhat above the waterline is an Engine....

Yeah. Actually had to lift the car off the engine (Because of how the Engine, Transmission, etc. are all linked together with the frame.), definitely not an option for a ship.

I remember on an shipyard I worked at, we had one Rescue ship in for Engine change. (Some of the Large Norwegian Rescue ships have their engine replaced after so and so many hours)

But what we did was cut open the ship from the side, drove the front of the fork lift in, and just lifter the entire engine out. But the nice thing with this boat, was that she designed to this type of Engine.
