So, it's ok for colo to just give a go-ahead without asking me? Well, the level of politeness on this forum is clearly degrading... -colo, maybe you could have shown some restraint and allowing me to have an input too? But clearly no...

Yes. It's 100% OK for me (or anyone else) to give anyone the go-ahead to start working on something that's on anyone's "work list". Unless a drawing is being actively worked on (that means a drawing is being produced as we speak), then no one (even the person with that drawing on their 2,000-item "work list") has any claim to it.

jSB. I appreciate your politeness and courtesy; I only wish a certain other person would have had the same sense of courtesy.

However, as the replies above indicate, it's been released, whether I like or agree to it or not, so do her good, will you!

Well, this is something that's been debated for a bit. The way I understand it, everyone is free to draw whatever ship they like. If two or more people draw the same ship, it doesn't need to be a problem. If you want to draw a ship, why should you not just because someone else has already? After all, we draw for the sake of the fun of it.

The way I see it is everyone is free to draw what they like. Perhaps if an artist posts a very early stage work in progress that should indicate ownership of a particular drawing. If there is more than one ship in the class just draw another one of them maybe ? A bit of healthy competition is good for drawing standards and can only improve shipbucket in general.
And possibly set a time limit of say 2 years on worklist items.
