couple of ideas that I might have possibility to participate within my AU schedule SB: Last Battlecruiser: As technological development and/or treaty era approached, the traditional Battlecruiser type became to its natural end. Final exambles presented a mighty and impressive constructions though. Ultimate dreadnought aka South Dakota challenge: The naval treaties ended the upward spiral of the traditional dreadnought type battleships. What could have been if the naval races would have continued? Desing post 1916, 40kt+ 406mm main armament+ battleship. Fast minelayer of WWI era, a 28kts + surface minelayer of size of your choosing (with some good minecapacity requirment to impose challenge) |

They already did a anti-aircraft Cruiser challenge. But I like the idea of the stealth Guided missile Cruiser challenge myself. |

SB: Command Ship Challenge Welcome to the Cold War, your navy is in need of a ship capable of combining the task of a radar picket, aircraft directing ship and be capable of at least temporarily acting as the centre of a task force.

SB scale:
- Escort carrier / light carrier challenge 1920's Ocean Liner Challenge
I'll vote for both of these, only let actual ships be included as well as there are quite a few of both types yet to make their SB debuts.

SB scale: Single nuclear reactor ship challenge. Anything goes, civilian or military, but can only have 1 reactor. Design must consider weight and balance carefully. (Structure too according to Erik but how do you show this?) Additionally I'd like to support: Kat's FD special armour tank (but in sobu lol) Spacebucket (again) RipSteakface export tank (but in sobu too lol) Lightweight Fighter Challenge (FD) must be smaller than F-16 probs? Miho's superprop Imperialist's FD pressed into service SB makeover Soode's small navy small ship |

A fourth-generation main battle tank challenge would be pretty cool, I think (In Fd Scale). For ex. Kf51, Armata, EMBT, AbramX and so on... |

Replace the FRAMcans! It is 1960 and the future of the Destroyer Arm is in peril. All the war vintage tin cans will fall into block obsolescence soon despite their several upgrades in systems and armament. There is a dire need for new ships but advances in technology mean ships have grown immense, expensive and personnel intensive. The old hulls will not be replaced 1 to 1 with a much larger and more expensive ship, therefore their replacement should be cost conscious. Design a ship to cover some or all of the traditional Destroyer missions that is inexpensive to procure and man. In all instances the ship should do better than 25 knots, but further than that is up to doctrine and requirements. Design Quality should be judged on affordability as indicated by visible systems. |
