I'm not sur if i will be able to post a drawing for this challenge, but i have two questions:
- It seems that the challenge is not restricted to a particular historical period, is it so ?
- Is it allowed to draw two side views in two different positions? (example: shooting position and navigating position)

Mizaki-class Ballistic Missile Submarine



The Mizaki-class were a class of four nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines built for the Altesian navy in the late 850s and early 860s. They were named after Altesian battlecruisers, confirming the importance of their roles in Altesian naval doctrine. Immediately upon commissioning, they would carry out nuclear deterrent patrols off of major Evoshan ports, supplementing the ballistic and cruise missile submarines already in service.

The first Altesian ballistic missile submarines were already in service by 856, but they were diesel-electric boats with limited endurance and a missile count of only two missiles. The cruise missile submarines, with the exception of the two nuclear-powered Chiyoi-class then under construction, were similarly limited. They also had to surface to fire their missiles leaving them vulnerable to attack. As such, the Altesian navy rushed to design a more capable class of ballistic missile submarine, especially as intelligence reports began to pour in about the construction of an Evoshan nuclear powered ballistic missile submarine.

The resulting submarine would be based on of all things, the Chiyoi-class. The hull itself was similar, but due to the amidships location of the missile silos, many compartments would be moved forward. Her high deck was a legacy of the Chiyoi-class and would not be repeated on subsequent classes. Much of her design was similarly traditional, with twin shafts and bow planes instead of fairwater planes. Armament consisted of eight ballistic missiles carried in amidship silos and six torpedo tubes, four fore and two aft. Initially, 28 torpedoes were carried, but four were removed and nuclear torpedoes put in their place in 863. Despite the rushed nature of the class, they proved to be rather successful and had relatively few initial issues. They would pave the way for successive, more powerful, submarine classes carrying more ballistic missiles while Evosha would not commission a submarine with a similar armament until 868.

History
After commissioning and working up, the class would be assigned to the Remoris naval district, patrolling Evosha's Mieri coastline while the cruise missile submarines would be moved to the Ekranon continent to patrol the Kanaric coastline. They would continue their deterrent patrols even as newer submarines entered service, only being pulled from service in 876 due to the Submarine Weapons Limitation Treaty (SWLM). They would be mothballed until the 890s, when they were struck from the naval register and scrapped. The sole exception was Kyilse, which served as a moored training ship until 913, when she was scrapped.

You are correct. The challenge is not restricted to a particular time period.
I'm afraid drawing two side views would be a violation of Challenge Rule 3: "One side-view of the participant's submarine must be included. One top-view is also permitted, but not required. All other views are prohibited." Showing your submarine in different states would also run afaoul of Challenge Rule 4.

The Orca-class SSBN is the 4th SSBN type submarine to serve with the Commonwealth of Nua (New) Avalon Naval Defence Forces. Designed with input of NATO allies, the 8 vessels in the class were commissioned from December 2016-October 2018. Using pump-jet propulsion and turbo-electric drive engines powered by a nuclear reactor, it was one of the first non-traditional propulsion submarines in commission, the other being the Shark-class SSN. They are the Tip of the Nuclear Spear for the NANDF.

034 Class SSBN

The 034 class is a type of ballistic missile submarine developed by Versua in the late 1950s. It is based on the design of a SSGN submarine, which is a nuclear-powered submarine capable of launching cruise missiles. The 034 class was the first SSBN in Versua, and one of the first in the world, to carry nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles. The submarine was designed to provide Versua with a second-strike capability and a deterrent against its enemies.

The 034 class entered service in 1962, and was assigned to the Versuan Navy's Strategic Missile Forces. The submarine conducted several patrols in the Verusan Ocean, as well as the Ceres Ocean and the Spring Sea. The submarine was involved in several incidents during the Cold War, such as the Belkan War and the Circum-Pacific War. The submarine was decommissioned in 2010, after serving for nearly 50 years. The submarine is now on display at the Versuan Naval Museum in Anchorhead.

(This sub is set in the alternate universe of mine known as "Rise of Eagles," whose World War II is drastically different. Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy do not exist, and are instead the German Empire and regular Kingdom of Italy.)


Following the developments in missile technology by the United States, Germany and Japan in the fight against the united forces of the U.K. and Russia, the Italians found themselves wanting to take one step ahead in the development of a stealthy way to deliver missile payloads to their targets. Using the hull of an incomplete Romolo class transport submarine and remodeling it to be longer, they incorporated an airtight compartment that would be able to store missiles and placed a launch pad towards the aft of the ship. The missiles would be taken out of their compartments by an in-hull rail and lifted up by an arm. The missile itself was based on an enlarged missile developed by the Germans, nicknamed the Tuono ("Thunder").

Background:
The Alexander Polnareff class was a class of ballistic missile submarines deployed by the Columbian Navy in the latter half of the 20th century. Though the second class of ballistic missile submarine built by Columbia, the Alexander Polnareff class was the first class to make use of the streamlined "Albacore" style hull. Together with later classes of SSBN, the class made up the bulk of the Columbian Navy's nuclear deterrent force through the 1990s.

After successful testing of the teardrop hull shape with CWS Albacore in the mid-1950s, the Columbian Navy decided that the next class of ballistic missile submarine would be the first combat-ready Columbian vessels to incorporate the design. Work started in early-1959, with a 12-missile arrangement being chosen in order to reduce the vessel's length and allow for a more streamlined missile deck. New gyroscopic stabilizer technology was also incorporated, as was the new S5W reactor developed by Westinghouse. In addition to being the first Columbian SSBNs to incorporate the teardrop hull, the Alexander Polnareff class was also the first Columbian SSBN class designed from the keel-up as a ballistic missile submarine.

A class of four boats was ordered in mid 1960, with construction of SFB(A)-675 commencing in December at Electric Boat's Groton facility. The first vessel was commissioned on 5 January 1963 and fired its first Pr.51 missile on 27 February 1963. The other three vessels of the class were built between 1961 and 1964 with the last boat, Thomas Evans, entering the fleet on 15 September 1964. Thomas Evans was also the only boat of the class built outside of Electric Boat, being constructed by Newport News Shipbuilding.

It's great to see a top view. Unfortunately, I must point out that Challenge Rule 4 states "if two views are included, they must depict the same individual submarine in the same paint scheme, markings, and configuration (e.g. masts extended)". You have missile tube hatches in the open position in your side view, but not in your top view. Can you please update your entry so they are open in both views or closed in both views.
