Man o man, what for stuff is happening there.
So bad that this happens all in one. Its like japan will cease to exist sooner or later if it goes on like this.

''First estimates in terms of the damage so far by AIR Worldwide (USA):

About $34.6 bln (€25.1 bln) in damage, of which about $14.1 bln are damages to private homes and buildings.

In these numbers are not included the damage to cars and other vehicles, infrastructure and utility infrastructure''

I saw video's of cruise ships being pushed onto the wall, they are really deep. And the wall is like 3 meters high.
Just amazing that this can happen.
And then the vulcano, and the nuclear reactors.

PSS what do you guys think of this?:
''PACIFIC OCEAN (March 13, 2011) U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the Black Knights of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 4 and Japanese relief workers load supplies aboard an SH-60 Sea Hawk helicopter to support earthquake and tsunami relief efforts near Sendai, Japan. The helicopter then flies along the coast before landing at Takihama, Japan where U.S. and Japanese forces work together to unload the helicopters. HS-4 is embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) off the coast of Japan rendering humanitarian assistance following an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami as part of Operation Tomodachi. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Armando Gonzalez/ Released)''

Geophysical impact
According to Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the earthquake's enormous strength shifted the Earth's axis by 25 centimeters (9.8 in). This deviation led a number of small changes, including those to the length of a day and the tilt of the Earth. The speed of the Earth's rotation increased, shortening the day by 1.8 microseconds due to the redistribution of Earth's mass.

A report by the U.S. Geological Survey said that Honshu, the main island of Japan, was shifted 2.4 m (7.9 ft) toward the east. Researcher Lucy Jones said of the precise data, "The Japanese have the best seismic information in the world... This is overwhelmingly the best-recorded great earthquake ever."

Energy
This earthquake released a surface energy (Me) of 1.9±0.5×1017 joules, dissipated as shaking and tsunami energy, which is nearly double that of the Sumatran earthquake in 2004 which killed 230,000 people. The total energy released (Mw) was calculated by the USGS WPhase Moment Solution at 3.9×1022 joules, slightly less than the 2004 Sumatra quake. The total energy released underground was some 205,000 times that on the surface.

The reason that the Sendai quake released so much more energy on the surface is that it was a shallower (25km vs 30km). This when combined with differences in topology (resulting in a shorter slip length for Sendai), mean more of the energy is released toward the surface.

Are you making fun of somebodies missery?
Because then you are a sicko.
I dont find it funny:

''park my boat''
''Do you have a hotdog''

What if it was your boat? And the way you get your money for your households. Do you still make this fun ''Park your boat'', while you lose your money?

was not meant that way.

It's pretty awful what is happening over there. But I have always believed that the best way to survive in a difficult situation is to having .... fun, but I saw well not the line in the sand.

Let's keep it civil guys.
One man's humour is not always another's.

Certainly this is a serious natural disaster and its terrible effects are clear and these are worrying times still.

Mother nature shifted the Earth in a couple of minutes. Makes setting off a nuke by us look like a firecracker.
