its even more sad that he was only 58 years old, He would have had many years still ahead as a performer. Guess its true that only good die too soon

RIP Gary, one more of the pillars of music is gone, and joined that big super band in Heaven.
Thank God for YouTube, and so we can allways hear and see them.

I saw him live in Lizzy about 79 on the Black rose tour.A sad loss.

I've just been castigated by L.P. for my assertion that Lynett and Moore where Thin Lizzy; and of course I'm forgetting the Eric's and Downey and the others. Funnily enough I missed them in Oz (if they ever toured there) but one of the weirdest concerts I attended in Perth was Slade with Lindisfarne as support.

Don't forget Snowy white, IMHO one of the best guitarist in that genre

Brian Robertson.Scott Gorham and John Sykes being the others.Bill Iv'e got the dvd of Lizzy playing Sydney if you want a borrow.Saw Slade too at Reading 1980 if my memory serves me right supporting Whitesnake.
