Nokia forever. using Lumia 920. and it is literally a Nokia strong! have lost in to concrete floor multiple time, and never got damaged. and when it got damaged, it was just to send it in to get a new glass on to it, not like the iPhone shit: "glass broken, can't fix it just go and get a new phone!"

My cellphone is an old Nokia N76 with Symbian software (first series, never upgraded and still working perfectly), so I cannot directly help. But you can search for reviews and opinions about both iPhone 6 or 6 Plus and decide what to do.

Andriod or Windows phone all the Way, Apple is far to restrictive (depending on your intentions, Wink Wink)
HTC One or One M8 or Samsung S5 on Andriod or Latest Lumia i would strongly recommend, as for heuhens remarks about repairability most modern smart phones are wank..... this is apples saving grace, i have repaired numerous Iphones, Ipads and Ipod touches and apart from being a bit fiddly are easy to repair and the parts tend to be relatively cheap of eBay... screen etc.
my own Ipod Touch has had 7 screens, yes I'm clumsy but it still works fine and has cost me no more that a tenner to fix each time........
back to your original question IPhone 6 is probably best as having held a template of a 6+ you need a huge pocket............

the special thing with my lumia 920 is that it consist of one shell, with the glass mounted inside... so if I ever want to replace the battery, i have to almost dismantle the phone. but it is also what making it so strong.
From my point of view, Android is better since its software is (mostly) open source, many app stores (other than Google Play) are available and it is easy to develop apps for it.

Just got a new Iphone 5C to replace my old trusty Iphone 3g, that's one of the toughest phones outside to the Nokia league, though I had a Samsung brick that was all but bulletproof, used to skim it across large puddles and roads
I have an iPhone 5S like every other normal person and it works fine. I guess the NSA will be intercepting all my dick pics, but that's the price we pay.
