Which do you think would win in a dogfight if both were piloted by pilots of equall capability

what kind of first post on an SHIPDRAWING forum is that? but ok........
I personally think the su-27 would win, because it has more range and it can use more of it's engine power (more spare fuel) and it can carry more missiles...... but most of the time the first or second missile will hit, so I think it will be an equal chance for both.

the one with better pilot, ground grew to maintenance, air-controll infanstructure to keep it aware of the situation and the one with better luck ;) If you are intressed of the matter, I suggest reading at some of the ACIC.org site's articles (there were IRC nice one of the Ethiopian/eritrean war where these two planes meet) and assorted airforce sites.

This forum is however for Shipbucket style of shipdrawings.

As Golly says the one with the better pilot and such. I do think however with the more modern developments of both types the Flanker family would be what I put my money on.

Sure the OP sounds like a dipshit, but this isn't exactly encouraging for new members...
