Hypersonic glide vehicles are something that the US is working on, and they are somewhat difficult to intercept. That said, the US carrier forces are defended in depth with multiple layers of defense ranging from the carrier aircraft, SM-6s, SM-3s, & ESSM.

We were working on our own called ArcLight, LRASM has pretty much superceded that program.

I appreciate the info...but do the Chinese have the tech capabilities to produce their own such systems?
