Actively discouraging pirates from continued interest in your vessel does seem the best way to avoid being captured and either held hostage or killed.

An AT-4 is a much better way to go than a M4. If you`re gonna use the M4, atleast get one with the M203 with HE shots.

Why? you're never going to hit the skiff with either of those.
No, get a couple of HMGs and some sandbags and set them up so they can cover the entire ship. Ad some sort of IR based warning system if you're feeling paranoid.

76mm could be an overkill IMHO, but some Gatlings (either Vulcan or Minigun) would be a nice touch. ;)

I thought doing anything like that video was illegal?? Maritime laws and whatnot.

There are several videos of similar activities going on, glad they've finally wised up and figured out that the only effective way to deter armed aggression is to be armed yourself... too bad those guys didn't have FALs... a few shots later they'd have sunk those little skiffs. ;)
