In 2010, after the state and territory quarters were finished, the US Mint started a new series, this time national parks, 1 park from each state and territory issued in the order of when the park was established. Last year, one of the quarters issued was for Vicksburg National Military Park in Mississippi.

On it is an image of the ironclad USS Cairo. I believe it may be the only time a US Navy vessel has been depicted on a circulating US coin.

Now, being a coin collecter, I've been saving each of the parks quarters. In the course of watching for them, I have managed to get a few extra of the Vicksburg ones. Anyhow, I thought if any of y'all outside the US might want one of these nice looking quarters, I could send you one. All I ask in exchange is a nice shiny coin of equal value (25 cents) from your country. I also collect/accumulate coins from around the world, mostly from places I've been, or from folk I've met online.

So, if you live outside the US, and think this might be a nifty thing to have, just PM me your address and I'll mail it to you. Then you can mail me something back. :D That sound fair?

As a side note, while this may be the first time a US Navy ship has been on a circulating coin, its definately not the first time its been on some sort of US money. Example - this $2 bill from 1914.

And no, I don't have any of these to send out, at least not real ones. They tend to be quite pricey. :P
(Can anybody identify the battleship shown? ;) )

Alright, anybody want a USS Cairo quarter?

I have some Australian money, mostly the commems that y'all put out. We have a good friend who lives in Adelaide who comes up here every year for DragonCon (a SciFi convention we go to every year) and he generally stays with us for several weeks. He always brings me a few. Baht I don't have any of though. Thats Thailand, right?

PM me your addy, and I can get one mailed out to you! :D I'll even throw in a state quarter from Georgia if you want (or if you have any specific state or states you may want, just let me know and I can keep my eyes open for it.)

I'v also got quite ALOT of Old Israeli Shekels and Israeli Liras. and coin from around the world.
