I don't think, it is the 21th century style.
South korean navy is going to operate 6 of these ships.
And then New type of ships will be launched.

length : 114m x 14m x 25m
displacement : 2,300(light weight) / about 3,000t(full load)
machinery : 127mm MK45 Mode4, RAM, 20MM Phalanx CIWS,
ship-to-ship missle x 8 also, ship-to-surface x 8
speed : max 30kts

No need to go all crazy with the technology when your main enemy still is in the 60's when it comes to equipment

The FFX Next-Gen Frigate is what that is IIRC. 6 of this batch is planned, then a more stealthy version will be built.

Haha yeas, that's pretty a good saying. They will take the TRAL type back into service, they were decommisoned in the 1990s and they are from 1951. So.. :P

It bears a bit of a resemblance to the MEKO 130 class.
