Post subject: | Norway's coastal steamer museum (upgrade) |
Hurtigruten museum (coastal steamer museum) got an upgrade for coastal steamer: MS Finmarken. [b(Note: BIG PICTURE!)[/b] How she looked like in the old days: https://img.gfx.no/2383/2383030/FM56.jpg MS Finmarken was stored on land, like this: https://img.gfx.no/2382/2382657/hrute.jpg https://www.hurtigruten.no/globalassets ... m=DownFill But she was corroding(rust) away, so it was decided to build a building around here, This building can move up to 8cm in wind, and they use tubes in the construction instead of the classic H/T-beams due to it's flexibility and strength. https://img.gfx.no/2689/2689591/Nordlys-2-2048x1152.jpg https://img.gfx.no/2689/2689146/Hurtigr ... %20(3).jpg https://img.gfx.no/2689/2689136/Hurtigr ... %20(1).jpg https://img.gfx.no/2689/2689989/Foto%20 ... %20bat.jpg the coffee on MS Finmarken (1956): https://hurtigrutemuseet.com/wp-content ... 24x675.jpg https://assets.simpleviewcms.com/simple ... 70690&.jpg Example on other things that can be seen at the museum, interior of MS Finmarken predecessor, Steam ship DS Finmarken, 1912 interior: https://img.gfx.no/2382/2382871/DSC07181.jpg https://img.gfx.no/2382/2382869/DSC07202.jpg https://www.nordicmarketing.de/hubfs/St ... torvik.jpg |
