Weren't the LCS made of aluminium?
I saw this on a site I was browsing through and was intrigued by the hull design. Could a similar hull design be used on CV's to make them more stable? I am interested in whether a multi-hull CV would be viable?
this hull shape works quite well for fast ships, where it allows an very large deck area with relatively little hull in the water. the stability then comes from the width between the hulls, allowing an very sharp midship hull. however, to have any use for it, you have to have an relatively light ship. Because of that, I doubt it has a lot value for an carrier.
