First try restarting in safe mode (assuming you're running a windows machine) by holding down F8 when you boot up. This should disable most non-essential add-ins to windows, hopefully supressing the virus while you get your AV running.

If that doesn't clear things up then salvage what data you can before wiping the system and reinstalling the OS.

BTW "wiping the system and reinstalling the OS" isn't really considered helpful advice in this day.

I know I'm a little late, but I had that problem as well and I just downloaded SUPERAntiSpyware and it works pretty good. It cleaned up like 8 Trojans that Microsoft Security Essentials didn't detect and I can tell a difference.
Well anyways, that's just my 2 cents.
