Sad that this still happens in this age, but I must admit, that whole sea area is like a maritime motorway.

Agreed. One of the more 'difficult' sealanes; and if its not the weather, the sheer volume of shipping requires acceptable skills in navigation. But....how many ships are manned by barely trained crews?
