I'm having a rethink; and I've now reached the age when that is a right, not an entitlement: as in....I can't quite remember...oh yes, when you go into a room a forget what you came in for
So, forget about any other piston engined fighter, slaps forehead, of course, there can only be one...The DeHavilland Hornet. same power plants as the Mosquito (actually slim line Merlins) on a narrow fueslage, and all the qualities of the Mosquito parred down into a killing machine; by comparison the P38 is a tractor. so chaps time to wind this none up and admit I'm right....
