This weekend we Brits will be celebrating our Monarch's 60 years on the throne, and I don't know of any other Head of State who has lasted that long. Our Queen Elizabeth (or Madge to her friends) is indeed a National Treasure, and most of us will be getting into the party spirit. The highlight will be the river pageant down the Thames on Sunday, with over a thousand ships and boats, plus well over a million people watching from the shore. Myself and Lady Portsmouth will be marking the occassion with her sister The Dowager Duchess of Twickenham, at her country seat at Mere Wiltshire, where yours trully will be cooking up a storm, washed down with copious libations of intoxicating beverages; the highlight for our clebrations will be a street party on Monday, with traditional 'nosh' and more bevies. Us Brits are often 'arm chair' republicans, but at the least provocation we become rampant Royalists, myself being no exeption (whereas LP and sis are true blue). If you chaps get a chance join us online and see that rare event - the British enjoying themselves without agonising over it
