The missile was fired from HTMS Naresuan's Mk.41 VLS on 30 August 2015 against the US Navy's target drone. The missile hitted and destroyed the target.

RTN upgraded its Naresuan-class frontline frigate with 9LV CMS, Sea Giraffe AMB 3D radar, CEROS 200 fire control radar, EOS 500 EO/IR all from Saab AB.

I find it ironic that an American Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile guided by European radars (Sweden detection acquisition track engage suite.) is fired from a People's Republic of China copy of a Russian Riga type warship in a naval exercise designed to diplomatically front that very PRC nation as part of a SEATO deterrence performance to send a message.
