In this thread I'll post the aircraft and color schemes (in FD scale) for my Alt Universe nation known as Oscia.

Post subject:  F-9 Naval Fighter

I have here a couple of designs for my F-9 naval fighter. [ img ][ img ]

XF-9: The XF-9 was developed in the late 1980s as a fleet defense interceptor, meant to be fast and maneuverable to be able to quickly intercept unidentified aircraft approaching carrier groups.

F-9A: The first production variant of the XF-9, the F-9A did exactly what the prototype was designed to do: intercept threats to carrier groups. However, it was soon discovered that a second crewmember was needed to operate the intercept radar and monitor radios. It entered service in 1989.

F-9B: The F-9B solved the issues of the F-9A, with the biggest single modification being the addition of a RIO (radar intercept officer) to operate the radar and radios. It entered service in 1993.[ img ][/img]

F-9C: Three years after the F-9B entered service, the Oscian Navy put out a request for a Multirole carrier fighter to operate from the new Phoenix-Class carriers. The design chosen was yet another variant of the F-9, known as the F-9C. In order to carry a larger and more diverse payload, the fuselage was widened to incorporate a second F110 Turbofan engine alongside the first. The single tail was removed and replaced with a twin V-shaped tail arrangement as well. It entered service in 1999.

Specifications:

Length: 52.86 Feet
Height (F-9A and B): 12.76 Feet gear up, 16 feet gear down
Wingspan: 31.6 Feet
Powerplant: 1x (F-9A and B) or 2x (F-9C) GE F110 Turbojet producing 16,610 lbf dry, 29,000 wet
Radar: AN/APG-73

Welcome to the SB!
It's not a bad start, but I have some remarks. First of all - it has no shading at all. :(
Secondly - the black contours - in some places there's too much of it (double black line on the arrestor hook), in some othere's not enough (the drawing with extended undercarriage - nose wheel cover and main gear bay should be fully outlined in black).
On top view the vertical stabilizer looks rather thick, while the cockpit rather narrow.
Also, the engine intakes (on top view) look bit narrow for such shape (check the planes like F-14, F-15, MiG-25 - or MiG-29 and Su-27, though in these cases rather their bottom views - intakes in that shape tend to be rather wide).
And last but not least - regarding top view - that plane seem to be not following the area rule, meaning that it would probably struggle to even exceed Mach 1. The fuselage is getting wider and wider roughly up to the place, where actually it should be thinnest. ;)
