USA, Convair B-36D Peacekeeper (WIP)

Here's one that hit me while scanning through one of the Request Threads. It's driving me nuts in a couple spots so I'd appreciate any suggestions.

1) The engine nacelles are blended into the wings (above and below the wing), to complicate it, there's 3 per wing. I'm having a hell of a time defining the shapes.

2) I'm also looking for suggestions or examples to do a polished and reflective skin! I've not found one yet on Shipbucket and it could be very cool.

I'm also toying with 1950's era bomb loads to illustrate with this beast. There's an example MK 17/24 Nuke...which I will rotate 45 Degrees today. Wonder If I should add Slim Pickens from Dr. Strangelove while I'm at it ;)

Thanks ahead of time.

Very impresive!
May i suggest drawing the tail cable thingy the same color.
Now it splits into darker and lighter color and it just looks wierd.

Very nice work.
Ok, if You want suggestions, here are my 5 cents - that's how I would do certain things, so You don't have to follow it - just a suggestion. (not in order of importance, but rather "from tail to nose")

1) (very minor one) - if the two nearby lines (that aren't totally vertical or horizontal) are parallell to each other I prefer to make their "pixel steps" on the same heigth/length;
2) IMHO there's too much black in some places - I'd drop it for dark grey at the wingtips and tips of horizontal stabilizer for example. Basically black is for contours/sharp ends. Also in some places too many black lines met, creating black bubble - SB/FD style allows for certain practical "modification" in such cases;
Btw. it looks like if You were using two "black colors", albeit quite randomly
3) I'd make bomb bay outlined in black rather than grey;
4) Defining the shape of engine nacelles - I'd make it by darker shade along their bottom edge (getting wider towards the widest part, but narrow near the leading edge).
5) Wheels here aren't actually circles but eggs (they have different height and width), also I'd make that metal parts in the centre mostly in dark greys, not black
6) Also, on the frames on the bomb aimers glass nose create a black blob - I'd rather try to "make an impression" that these frames are there, rather than actually place them there.
7) Seems that You have wires in two shades - I'd use two shades only when part of the wire is actually in shade made by some element of the plane (wings etc.) - otherwise I wouldn't use different shade when the background for the wire is fuselage and different when it's "in the air".

Btw. just a small question - how many shades are You using for the "basic metal" elements? I'd say 5 is enough (with most work being comfortably done with just 4).

For the nacelles I'd start out with not using solid black for the engine intakes.

The engine intakes on the real thing aren't really all that well define (really, it's just holes on the leading edge of the wing) so it's a good representation as it is.

WIP: B-36 Rev 1.

This is where I'm at in response to all your comments, Many Thanks! Ready for more tweaks.
Notes:
Tried the bomb bays in BLACK. Stayed with the gray for cosmetic reasons, the black visually was distracting. I'm more than willing to go black if it's a hard and fast standard.

To the right of the nose, are some thoughts on fills to simulate a reflective metal skin. I'd appreciate comments on this. It's time but not difficulty to do some example aircraft.

Is there a desire for a "parts sheet" for the various bombs carried by this beast?

Thanks and Happy Holiday!
