XIV served with the French right?
No, predominantly served with the RAF, maybe with a Free French Sqn in the RAF, and postwar somewhat with the RCAF. They had C type, D type and E type wings.

Yes, the Mallard family are very much on my to do list - I'm chief pilot of the only commercial Mallard operation on earth BTW. :D
