I'm not considering the other CRJs for now, the various ideas I have in my mind right now are focused on other models. I'm considering finishing the A320s powerplants (I've mentioned that a few posts ago in my NEOs entry), the unbuilt 727-300, the unbuilt 747-500,-600, and -X, the MD-11 (which I have as a WIP since ages), P&W motorizations for the standard A330s, the A330NEOs, maybe the 757-300. But that's something that might change as well.
You have too much time on hand  When I'm trying to finish drawing the Beechjet, you're cranking out tens of drawings...
Very nice work on Clipper Fairwind, and may I recommend Clipper Spark of the Ocean for your next masterpiece?

Douglas DF (Douglas Flyingboat)

[ img ]

Follow on commercial model of the P3D-2, initially offered to Pan Am. Although the DC series had proved the viability of twin-engine vs three-engine transports, Pan Am displayed no interest, so Douglas eventually found export customers for the aircraft in construction. The first 2 built to model spec 151 were sold to Japan. Like the DC4E one was immediately reverse engineered, to create the Kawanishi H8K "Emily". The second 2 built to model spec 195 were sold to the Soviet Union with one surviving WWII.
With the commercial failure of the DF, Douglas built no further flying boats.

Fairey Long-range Monoplane

One aircraft constructed specifically for long-range flight record breaking, and to study methods for increasing aircraft range. After it crashed with the loss of the crew a second aircraft was built.

I already had it in the works (with some company)

Anyway, I've modified the Clipper Fairwind post in the previous page by adding Clipper Wild Wave in the same sheet.

Here instead, as anticipated, comes Clipper Spark of the Ocean and Clipper Pacific Trader.

N652PA was delivered new to PanAm in 1971 and briefly leased to Iran Air in 1974-1975. somewhere between 1981 and 1986 it was renamed Clipper Mermaid. After PanAm went out of business the aircraft was converted into freighter and served under three different cargo airlines before being scrapped in 2006.
N735PA was delivered new to PanAm in 1970 as Clipper Young America and leased to Eastern Airlines in 1970-1972. It was later renamed Clipper Spark of the Ocean and remained with PanAm until its bankrupcy. Converted into freighter it went on flying with Air Hong Kong and Polar Air Cargo.

Guillermo's SAAB-340 has ended in the archive, ad it is actually not visible anymore (at least when I tried to browse it). Luckily I was still able to acess it through TJ donloadable backup of Shipbucket. I thus did one simle thing, just "repainted" it in a darker palette. I did not made any significant changes to the drawing except for a few minorr pixel retouching. I thus do not feel the need to add my name on it for such small work. what you see here is 99% Guillermo's work, I just tried to make it accessible again to most forumers.

Nice to see it updated.
But IMHO the archived version is perfectly accessible. ;)
