I did this instead of study finals TWA 717s. Ordered in the late 1990s, delivered 1999-2001, all the way up until they were absorbed into AA. Total of 30 were delivered out of 50 orders, and TWA had options for 50 more. AA would operate them until 2003 when they were sold to AirTran, some also went to JetStar in Australia. The AirTran 717s eventually wound up with Delta, who still operates them. Note about the front window- in all the pictures I saw, they were not plugged, however they had some something white covering them |

N815AJ is the last salvageable, intact CV-880 in existence. It has been at the Mohave Air & Space Port for quite some time, and is currently owned by Scroggins Aviation. The owner has in recent years tried to pawn the aircraft off to various museums to no avail, and it is very much in danger of scrapping. The aircraft has a nearly intact interior, with TWA 1960s fittings, as well as a in-good-condition cockpit (all minus the sand that has found its way inside the aircraft). At some point, the engines were removed, however the cowlings were kept attached. I based what I drew on pictures from 2019, and for some reason 75% of one side has been taken off while the other side remains with the base 1960s TWA scheme, albeit rather faded. |

That is a very sad looking, but yet amazing image. I hope that N815AJ can be saved. |
