Lkw 1,25 t tmil Typ 1
[ img ]
The Lkw 1.25 ton type 1 is a German addaption of the AM General M998 family of high mobility vehicles in service with the US Armed Forces.
Mostly identical to the US-built Humvees, the German version differs in their engine and lighting system. The first 100 vehicles were delivered to the Reichswehr by AM General in 1988 and adapted to German standards by Ford, with additional 5,100 vehicles in seven variants built by Ford until 1995.
Most vehicles are in service with the Imperial German Navy's Naval Infantry Command, where they replaced the remaining obsolete Lkw 0,25 t Jeeps and some of the Lkw 0,5 t Iltis. A bit more than a quarter of the vehicles are in service with the 3. Landserdivision, Germany's major light infantry unit.

Thanks.

Parts of the next one might look familiar to you

RakWerf 12A1 LARS 3
[ img ]
The LARS (light artillery rocket system) is a vehicle mounted multi-barrel rocket launcher first introduced in 1967 and mounted as LARS (later redesignated LARS 1) on the Magirus-Deutz 7 ton truck.
Whereas the LARS 2, introduced in 1980, were just modernized LARS 1 remounted on the MAN KAT I 7 ton truck, the new LARS 3 are a new developed system mounted on the Steyr 5 ton truck.
These new rocket launcher were introduced in 1999 and replaced the LARS 2 serving with Army's light infantry, cavalry, airborne and mountain divisions (5 battalions in total) and Navy's naval infantry (one battalion), accounting for a total number of 144 launchers.
The other ten battalions are equipped with the M270.

PzH 5A3
[ img ]
The Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant M52 was one of the first self-propelled howitzer to enter service with the post-war Imperial German Army. Under the designation PzH 3 the M52 served with Army between 1952 and 1966 when they and the M7, M55, and M44, were replaced the newer M109. Unlike the Pzh 1 (M7), and the PzH 2 (M55), the PzH3 alongside the PzH 4 (M44) continued to serve with the National Guard, the German army reserve, which took over its first units in 1964. As the ministry of defence had no intention to buy additional M109 for the reserve forces in the 1970s, at least the PzH 3 had to be modernized with a new turret, new fire control systems, and Rheinmetall 155mm gun (this modernization would aslo be addepted by the Turkish Army during the 1990s.
After all, this modernization acctually ended up being more expensive than the additional M109s.
The howitzer shown here belongs to the fire support battalion of Military Area Command III, based at Bergische Kaserne in Düsseldorf, and will be replaced with the PzH 5 Paladin within the next years.

TPz 5 Alligator
[ img ]
Between 1977 and 1982 the Imperial German Navy replaced their older TPz 2 amphibious transport tanks with the newer TPz 5.
Built by the Food Machinery Company 76 of these vehicles are currently in service with the two amphibious transport companies affiliated with the two naval infantry brigades. 72 of these vehicles are standard APCs with additional two ARVs and two CCVs.
As shown here, the Navy has already started to equip some of its APCs with additional armour packages.

(That additional armour was a real pain in the a**)

Thanks Pegasus.

Here are two more additions

FlAb 5A1 Avenger
[ img ]
The FlAb 5A1 is a light mobile stinger-based air defence system mounted on a LKW 1.25 ton. The air defence companies of the Naval Infantry Command are the sole operator of this system in Germany.
Unlike the other HMMWVs used by the Reichswehr, these 64 examples were not licence built by Ford Germany but directly bought in the US.

Pfz 2A1 Manul
[ img ]
The Pfz 4A1 Manul is a medium 4x4 MRAP vehicle in service with the Landser (light infantry) and the Marinejäger (Marines). Over 520 vehicles have been build by Lafayette Motorenwerke since 1997 to support Germany's light infantry units with well protected vehicles instead of the commonly used trucks, so that they get a higher protection while remaining their high mobility.

Note: The M-ATV will be one of the few real world vehicles, whose origin will be change by me to fit into my AU. Another will be the Cougar HE.

KPz 3A5AG Patton - Oposing Force
[ img ]
Until 1997 the KPz 5 was also used by Armor Batallion 602 of Armored Infantry Regiment 600 to represent the Soviet built T-55, especially the NVA's T-55M, during combat exercises. For this role they were painted in NVA camouflage.
With the rest of the Regiment, they were based at Lager Heuberg in Baden-Württemberg.
