The Regio 2N looks like a cool train. I want to make a inner-city bi-level subway train version of it. Perhaps with a flat nose like you see on many US subways. Even found a nice technical document (PDF warning): http://www.bombardier.com/content/dam/W ... eet-en.pdf |

Tried my hand at it. Its dimensions are probably wonky, though I do want to note that the doors are intended to be double wide. They use a set of wheels similar to the Talgo wheels, but these are able to draw power from a third rail. The trains are also articulated in such a manner as to allow passengers to pass between trains despite the Talgo wheels. Top speed is a swift 110 mph and there is even a small view area in front for passengers. Any thoughts? ![]() |

That won't work very well... you cannot power Talgo wheels IIRC and axle load will be a problem |

Ok, made some changes. Its now a more traditional axle system. Plus its interior articulated sections can be more clear now I imagine. ![]() |

Created a single deck version of my double Decker train. Next I am thinking of making a streetcar (double decker and single decker versions) followed by a trolley. Then maybe a Funicular, perhaps a cable car and a series of buses. Then get all the way down to a sedan and a smart car type carshare vehicles and maybe even a bikeshare. All under one large fictional AU company. ![]() |
