Great work on the P.1216 colour schemes, some really beautiful ones there.
As promised, the never-built supersonic Avro 730 reconnaissance/ bomber aircraft cancelled by the Air Staff just before the 1957 White Paper.

Most ilustrations show the type in anti-flash, which I've reproduced here. Perhaps they would of been painted this way, although at high altitude I guess nuclear heat flash would have been of less worry but it may have helped keep the airframe temprature down at supersonic cruising speeds? Perhaps they may have been painted high-altitude blue or pink like the WW2 Mosquitos and Spitfires to hinder visual observation? An all-black finish might be plausible. A dual white-camo finish, as applied from 1964 to the V-Force fleet, would only have been of defensive use when on the ground but realistically incoming IRBMs weren't going to be bothered with finding camoflauged aircraft on the ground... Some interesting stuff to ponder.
