-7th Tactical Fighter Squadron-
P-51 Mustang and P-47 Thunderbolt
Both legendary fighters are inherited from the US from their retirement as their first fighters for fresh experienced pilots who participated in WW2 under USAF. 50 Mustangs and 20 Thunderbolts where given in total, some of these(including this Squadron) had participated in supporting UN troops in Korea through ground support and occasional dogfights with enemy Yak-9s and even MiG-15s.
F-86A Sabre
Acquired from surplus F-86s that where meant to be used for Korea, but never got used. Around 25 where acquired and 18 more in 1957. Used by most fighting squadrons.
-5th Fighter Training Squadron-
T-6 Texan
Used for both basic fighter training and flight training during the demand for more backup pilots by the Philippine Air force in the 50's due to engagements with the PLAF in Philippine Airspace and defending West Philippine Sea. Around 39 where purchased from the US. The Lead aircraft is used for general instructions for the squadron to backseat trainers during Squadron/Group training.
-4th Fighter Training Squadron-
T-33 Shooting Star
Used as an Advanced Jet Trainer for the Philippine Air force. Around 27 where in service in 1955 and where bought from the US.
