Hi all, how about some mixed colours?
There are still two missing airlines from this thread/project of mine, Megami Koku and Air Tenji. The first I'm currently in the midst of designing her livery through time, the latter will take more time as technically one of the planes I envisioned it operated is not drawn in FD scale yet (I know it will, however).
Yet, honesly, I could say there are still one and-a-half more missing after that. Why? One is straightforward, the first page shows another extra operator -in addition to my homage to rowdy's Recherche- in the airlines tally (that got mentioned a few times in later entries), and its my Kokoverse PanAm.
The remaining half is a small touch-up I'm planning for koutei Koku. Nothing too extreme, just a slight livery adjustment on later planes and a rearrangement on some plane numbers, like a bit less 747-200s and a bit more 747-300s, a bit less 737-800s and a bit more A320-200s. All of which will be adressed either by modifying former entiers or by adding new ones.
Yet, this is not the focus today. What I wanted to do is "showcase", with a bit of explaining texts, the airliners not yet featured in the previous airline entries. Those are the ones that belong to the future even for this thread (which depicts Kokoan airlines as of december 2017, so four months ahead of our actual date). So, despitte setting it as the future even in the AU time, I've already decided a few things past this December.
The year depicted on the various models is the planned delivery/entry into service with the said airlines.
Let's go Alphabetycally:
-Air Hoshiguma.
Air Hoshiguma will recieve the first of the five ordered (plus another five on option) EAC-150-200 in 2018. Despite the small backlog, the airline is the launch customer for the entire EAC-150 project.
-Air Tenji.
Drawings still missing.
The airline is set to recieve the first eAC-80-300 in late 2018/early 2019, followed by the EAC-150-100 and EAC-150-200 shortly after.
-Azuma Hoseki Koku Kamotsu ((Eastern Pearl Air Cargo).
The first A330-200F is set to be recieved in late 2018 to replace older A300-600s. They are are the former, leased, airframes discarded by Koutei Koku after their fleet revisemen in early 2018.
-Jetstar Koko.
The CFM-powered A32oneos -30 on order- will star deliveries in early 2022, unless some of the fifteen A320ceo currently on order is converted to the new model.
-Jump!.
The airline has 20 on order for this high-density variant of the 737-MAX-8 (also ordered by Ryanair), with deliveries to start by the second half of 2019.
-Koutei Koku.
Koko' flag carrier caused a big ruckus by shuffling its backlog orders at the 2018 Singapore Airshow. The one that made more news was the torough cancellation of the A330neo and A330F orders -although replaced by 12 A330-300Regional- that, coupled with a contemporaneous order for further four 777-200F, four 777-300Er and four 787-10, clearly said that the airline had decided to remain a staunch General Electric/CFM customer, closing its doors on a possibile A350 purchase.
The four 777-200F will replace the A330-200F in the fleet as soon as late 2018. Their order also came at expense not only of Airbus, but the remaining options the airline still had for the 747-8F as well.
Both the A321neo (entry ino service scheduled for 2019) and A319neo (entry into service not yet finalized) were already in the carrier's backlog. yet Singapore saw the addition of 20 more A320neo and 25 A321neo-LR to the tally, a clear sign that koutei will replace its 34-strong fleet of 737-800s with those machines. The young age of the 737s yet supports the rumors that the carrier will not sold or retire toroughly its Boeing narrowbody fleet, but exploit it to form a low-cost subsidiary sometime in the future.
With its backlog increased from 10 to 14, the 787-10 will replace the 777-300 on domestic service once the first will be delivered in 2019.
The 777-8 and 777-9 (
unfortunately not yet drawn be me, waiting for a finalized design and more sources) are expected to enter service in 2020/21, starting with the larger -9 variant.
-Koutei Connection.
After the cancellation of the Mitsubishi MRJ deal -citing delays- the newly ordered Toscaire-200 for Koutei regional division is expected to start deliveries in early 2019.
-Megami Koku.
Drawings still missing.
Megami will recieve the first of its eight EAC-80-300, of which the airline is the launch customer, in late 2018. The EAC-150-100, of which Megami is the launch customer as well, will follow in 2019.
-Nampo no Kido.
Once the backlog for the A350-900 is emptied, the airline will start recieve the stretched A350-1000 in early 2020, Four are currently on order, but it is highly possible thyat more will be ordered.
At the 2018 Singapore Airshow Nanpo made the news as much as Koutei, when, together with a suprising PanAm order, it became the co-launch customer of the EAC-150-400 with 15 orders and 15 options. In addition, 15 EAC-150-200 (plus 5 options) and 5 EAC-150-300 (plus 15 options) were also ordered. The EAC-150-400 introduction is expected for 2020, with the -300 model following it a year later. No date is set for the EAC-150-200 yet.
-Skyline.
The A320neos (30 on order) will be in service as early as January 2019.
That's all for now. Megami Koku entry will start coming as soon as I've completed the liveries. Future aircrafts will be added here retroactively as well.
