The Alexandria Metro 10000 Series is a variant of the 9000 Series that is designed for GoA 2 semiautomatic operation with a driver using the Thales SelTrac CBTC signaling system. The 10000 Series was procured by Alexandria Metro in 2014 to replace the 1000 Series and 2000 Series, which entered service in 1974 and 1980 respectively. The 10000 Series entered service in 2017 on Line 1 and Line 2.
