Excellent set! The below deck details are a very useful aid (specially for the Sea Slug system: is huge!). Very well done! May I ask one question (with my appologies for the off-topic), do you know if the well designed (but only used in a pair of chilean navy destroyers and in a few venezuelan corvettes) Vickers 4 in gun can be coupled with a fire direction radar (either a Marconi set or a foreigner radar as WM28)? Thanks a lot.
reytuerto,
The answer isn't straight forward, the Hang Tuah (ex-HMS Mermaid) built for Ghana in 1965 only had a STD Mk.1 sight for the Mk.19 twin 4in. No gunnery radar was fitted. Though the Almirante Clemente Class for Venezuela had US AN/SPG-34 gunnery radars. So yes, I think they could be aimed by (then) modern fire-control systems but certainly Marconi and Vickers had their eye on the single 4in Mk.N when they were developing there fire-control with an eye on new sales rather than the refit market. Probably a shame as they might have picked up a bit of work.
