It's on the first page of the thread? Next to the octuple pom pom?

Oh  I see it now. But I think they both in fact are octouples. The right one is the improved. But I'm not sure. But I can see, if it's a quad, it's to big to my vessel.

Doesn't really matter. The main difference in the quad vs. octuple mounts was in width, not in length. They needed a bit more real estate to turn, but ultimately it was the weight that was the biggest difference.

Yes, I realise that. It was the hight I was concerned about, but thinking about the visibility in SB scale I'll accept that ;) But another concern I've got is the side view of the 20 mm twin AA. The one in the parts sheet is to modern for WWII, so the question is; is the side view for WWII similar to the single 20 mm?

Pretty much and they look more or less like this.

The ones we've been using so far are at least 150% too large which is why they never seem to fit in the gun tubs.

Thank you Thiel. Yes that's the dillema; the size versus the vissibility ;)

As part of my project to represent some RN 6-in cruisers postwar, I've redrawn some parts. The twin 40mm is (I think) closer to the ones used; for some time I've had problems with the standard one as being too large in comparison with the main gun turrets. With the Mk.VI drector, the one I drew previously, while fit for purpose, is only shown at a side angle, whereas on all photographs and drawings it is always facing out - as makes sense as its a director serving beam aa guns. If agreed, this can be added alongside the existing Mk.VI :)

Nice additions Bill. I'll add them to the next update.

Thanks fellow OGFL's. This came out of me realising that the Newcastle was not at all like the real one (thanks to graham!) So now I'm enjoying going over every detail - and of course this will take almost as long as drawing from scratch
