Glor, you need 3 men crew for IFV. Gunner, vehicle commander and driver/mechanic. |

You are principally right (even if it's theoretically possible to function only wirh a driver and a gunner). The vehicle commanders are the platoon leader, possibly the platoon sergeant and the section leaders or deputy section leaders. Different armies have different solution for the problem of mounted/dismounted elements of mechanized infantry. In the swiss army for example, the platoons have since 2003 two officers, one for mounted combat and one for dismounted combat. In the british army, there is often a second sergeant, the warrior sergeant, who takes lead of the fighting vehicles if the platoon leader dismounts. But I will probably modify the chart to clarify this. |

We use three man crew as this is an IFV not APC. That indeed depends of how mech infantry work in different armies. For some the IFV is still only an APC with extra gun, for others IFV is primary weapon of mech infantry platoon and dismounted infantry is to protect it, that's is often called as "german school". And Rosomak as you use is design for 3 man crew, Hitfist turret with one man is like fighting with one hand tied behind back. If use some other type of turret then maybe 2 man crew would be enough but Hitfist-30 is two man turret and to operate in full capacity it need two man. |
