Hello,

I am new to this site and I am enjoying watching many great drawings and reading several postings about historic warships.
There are many talent artist.
I want to take advantage sharing my old drawings since this site is appropriate.
Soon, I will start drawing ships under Shipbucket terms.

In the meantime,
I want to share this to any WWII aficionado. Specifically the Pacific Theater.
I hope you all enjoy these two drawings.

Here's the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise CV-6. The U.S. Navy's most decorated ship during WWII.

This example depicts the ship during the fiercest Battle of Santa Cruz in October 1942.

She participated in many important battles against Imperial Japan than any other U.S. Navy ship.
The ship suffered many heavy damages and kamikaze attacks throughout the war but still remained afloat.
She was nicknamed the "Big E".

I was inspired by this artist (Snow Cloud in Summer) and his beautiful drawing of the Imperial Japanese's SHOKAKU aircraft carrier.
The Enterprise's rival.
I used the measurement scale to help me draw the Enterprise.

Next is....

USS HORNET

This example also depicts the ship during the fiercest Battle of Santa Cruz in October 1942
and her last battle before she was destroyed.

She participated in many important battles against Imperial Japan.
The most notable action was the daring Doolittle Raid in April 1942.
At one point in mid-September 1942, the Hornet remained the only operational U.S. carrier in the Pacific war.

The program I used was Windows 7 paint. Nothing special.

Thanks to the help of the following websites and a book:
