could you maybe link me to that system you mention heuhen, it sounds interesting but I don't really get what you mean.
Shall see if I can find it. it's along time since I saw it last.... but it must be out there some where...
You have seen a pump-jet on a submarine. these system I am talking about is basically the same just build inside the hull in the same way as an water-jet, the only thing you need is a rudder. It exist many way do do it, but the most simple one is just stick the normal propeller in a tube inside the hull of a boat.

Edit: this show basically how it looks:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... t-slow.jpg

And you are wrong on that he need three water-jets (It's good if you want high speed), what he need is two large "High pressure" water-jet (á'la Skjold class) and two smaller one that works at low pressure (In theory that would work fine, but in real life....)

Here you have an bonus from me: http://www.actorlando.com/images/CutAway.jpg

oh the keel as I showed it can be a strengthen keel....

ASW - Awfully Slow Warfare....;-)

You know what they say i "The hunt for Red October"
-Trying to find a submarine in 20kts...?!?, they wouldn't find my daughters stereo if they run over it..!!

reagarding streaming water, if you use a VDS or TAS you put the sensor away from the ship so it wouldn't get disturbed. the hull mounted sonar was only used in very low speeds.

I was thinking of a KaMeWa system like on the Visby and Göteborg classes. The Göteborg has three thrusters, the Visby has two larger.

Link to KaMeWa

The boxiest thing you ever have drawn... Well 1930ies ships are prettier. Is the SeaWolf standard issue with booster, or " SweWolf""with longer range?

Moving forward with the cruiser line. The Mars class (former Kronprinsen) armoured cruiser. Named after a 16th century royal battle ship which distiqusted it self in battle against the Danes in the 1560s and of course the roman god of war.

Is there a problem?, Photobucket has changed its MMI so I can't check the setting (likely the size setting, right?)
