Very neat ship, as always. Just wondering, what was her originaly intended speed, before the Navy took her over?

"high" so she could compete for the Blue ribbon, somewhere around 30kts (1929 the NDL Bremen crossed the Atlantic at almost 28kts).

Your drawing shows three shafts yet your report states four? Bit confusing unless the inner propellers are arranged like the Kaiser class ocean liners of the early 1900s

Nice carrier though, she looks rather nice with those sleek, almost shokaku style lines that to me has always looked nicer than the bulky mess of the Lexington and Yorktown class upper works.

I believe this to be the most impressive and indeed beautiful vessel you've done yet Psilander!

On a side note I noticed you called the RR Peregrine a radial when in fact it was a liquid cooled V-12.

It looks like there's a corner of the superstructure missing ner the aft 105mm gun.

Thanks guys

I do belive de single line aft of the X turret is a small ladder.

Regarding propellers, I will redo the SS calculation, 3 is right.

I think the Thiel is talking about the top view where a portion of the green-colored bridge near Y turret is missing.

The first scratch built carrier of the Royal Swedish Navy. When Sweden decided to get carriers in the late 1920s many naval aviators and officers where sent abroad to learn carrier operations. The Lappland class was bulit by experience from the RN Ark Royal/ Victorius program aswell as the Graf Spee project in germany. She was rushed into service in 1941, serveing most of her time in the pacific. refitted several times in 40s and 50s. She was with drawn when the new Tre Kronor class entered service in 1966.
