No, they have much reduced recoil, comparative to a chemical weapon, but they still have recoil. It is not zero. Hence a delicate space station will struggle to maintain structural integrity when firing such a large weapon. |

that depends. if the projectile is small enough and the station heavy enough the recoil will be minor. some reinforcing is needed though, but not that much that this would be impossible. in effect, the long barrel makes this possible, because the acceleration is no '0 to 100%' but is going in steps. there could be an problem by the gun pushing the station out of it's orbit though, so there will be the need of some engines. I suggest ion engines because then you need no external power supply. also, the batteries are going to be huge and the reload time very long. I don't know if that is going to fit in this station. the overall concept would work though, IMO |

This is not absurd not absurd at all sir. One piece of advice make the barrel two thirds longer, and I cannot see any RCS thusters. |

You can either accelerate to a fast speed or slow down the rate of acceleration. |

As I said above: You can either accelerate to a fast speed. or slow down the rate of acceleration so it requires less reset time. |
