LOL don't you worry about proving me wrong! Afterall this kind of terrific excellence in drawing makes it doubly worth being wrong!

We're all learning. :D

Here's a little diagram I whipped up showing two things:
a) How I match up portholes on my model with the real thing.
b) The differences between Olympic and Titanic.

[ img ]

The reason some portholes are smaller on Titanic is explained in this article:
http://alotef.deviantart.com/#/d5155c9

"Olympic's lavatory windows for staterooms were deemed too large and were thought to infringe on privacy. Therefore, on Titanic, many lavatory windows were much smaller."

These are true works of art, and I just wonder who is Lorraine the Olympic drawing is dedicated to?

Absolutely wonderful again! Don't forget to change the forecastle hatch cover on Olympic back to the flat-faced design you originally had.

@Novice I decided that, as they've supported my obsessional Titanic-directed madness, I should dedicate each drawing to my loved ones. The first Titanic I ever did was dedicated to both my grandmother and my girlfriend's mother, who both died recently. I dedicated the most recent Titanic drawing to my girlfriend, the Olympic to my mother and no doubt my father will get Britannic. :)

@CanisD Thanks for the heads up! There's bound to be dozens of tiny details like this of which I failed to notice in the photos I studied etc. Thanks again. :)

Beveridge's "Titanic or Olympic: Which One Sank?" is an excellent reference on the differences. He goes through all the little differences while shooting down the conspiracy theory.
