Lockheed SR-70/A-12. Archangel-1/Daitenshi
The Lockeed SR-70/A-12, also called the Archangel-1, is a stealth recon and attack aircraft made as part of Project Gusto back in the 1950s and 1960s. In our world, the Archangel one never got built, instead got replaced by the A-12 Blackbirds. In Curation, several prototypes were built and tested but most were put into storage due to tehir bulky nature and complicated construction. However, a single prototype was recovered along with it's blueprints intact and was soon replicated by the Lockheed Corporation but it eventually found it's way to being built by the Lockweed Corporation as well. All aircraft here are Lockheed builds as Lockweed was set up by Lockheed to help take some strain off Lockheed's production lines.

Lockheed A-12X Archangel
Aircraft 01-0001. 1st Jovian Prototype
Pilot: Charlotte E. Yeager
Description: The first Jovian prototype ever built, 01-0001 was the first archangel to be rolled out of the Skunkworks factory in early 2208. The aircraft took flight on Feburary 13th, 2208, just in time for Birthday of the late Chuck Yeager who would have been 281 years. Piloted by a decendent, Charlotte E. Yeager, the aircraft was pushed to it's limits in flight as it flew above crowds of spectators and military commanders alike around Area 51, Nevada before the aircraft went into low Orbit, returning later that day. The aircraft was the first of 10 Prototypes which pushed the plane to it's limits before a mass production model was rolled off. Into storage but in actually, the aircraft is linked to a simulator so it allows a pilot to get used to the cockpit of future A-12s.
Lockheed A-12A Archangel
Aircraft. 60-6924. US Air Force Museum Piece
Pilot: Unkown
Description: Rather than being built of all expensive materials, 60-6924 is a mock up of the real thing using lighter weight materials. The aircraft was designed to be a Concept of what the plane might have looked like in the 1960s, flying over the Soviet Union, snapping pictures over soviet installations before running home to give the CIA and the US Military critical information. The aircraft is currently on display at the Groom Lake Air, Space and Extraterrestrial Museum where visitors can get a look into the old black projects and a recreation of the Storm Area 51 event from September 2019.
Lockheed A-12A Archangel
Aircraft: 50-7030. SEELE Recon plane
Pilot: Kaworu Nagisa
First spotted over the Central Pacific near Johnston Atoll during the Abyssal War's 3rd year, this A-12A was spotted by the radars of several of the shipgirls in a fleet heading towards Johnston atoll in order to clear it of abyssals before launching a reclamation effort on Hawaii. After the plane left the region, 3 huge Evangelion carrier aircraft appeared and attempted to land on Johnston Atoll, possibly compromising the plans of the Japanese and US Navy staff. The 3 carriers were shot down by F-4 Phantoms that had been sent up to intercept the carriers. The 3 EVA units, later identified as Unit 00, Unit 01 and Unit 02, plus their pilots were inturned aboard the command ship. Cpt Spectra "Kukan" Star, later wrote in her report that the 3 had been dispatched to stop so called "Angels" from appearing and possibly trying to create something called the "3rd impact" but had failed due to the radar systems on board at the time which were akin to 1960s era radar due to some sort of field around the oceans causing some more modern technology to fail or be heavily reduced. Years later, in 2202, while rebuilding Hakone Japan, Cpt Spectra, now Empress Spectra, discovered a hanger hidden inside one of the mountain sides near Tokyo-3 which was a Tieriary city of Tokyo that had been founded in the mountains near lake Ashi. The aircraft was largely intact allbeit overgrown with plant life. SEELE, the ones behind the aircraft's service, had been dealt with with the loss of their Evangelion units. However, the organization lived on and was systematically hunted down and charged with war crimes for the Abyssal war, and crimes against humanity for their attempt to force humanity into 1 collective conciousness during the same conflict. The aircraft was subsequently removed from the hanger, repaired and then put on display at the Abyssal War Museum, Tokyo Japan, under the Failed Betrayers section, a section of the Museum dedicated to those who had failed to win the war for the abyssals. It was placed next to Treavor Maloney and his Aurora project, who had betrayed Cpt Spectra as well as several shipgirls, including the Super Battleship Musashi.
