These are some of my drawings in 8-pixel format, detailing changes made to Repulse during her 1938-1939 winter refit at Portsmouth. No known commercial model kit has ever depicted this part of the ship correctly. Two profile views are shown, the major difference being the replacement of the ship's #3 triple 4-inch mounting with an 8-bbl pompom in February 1941.

The plan view of the shelter deck highlights the major constructional work done to accommodate the Royal Party; the green-shaded areas represent the twin 4-inch BD gunhouses that were added 1933-1936. The port side gunhouse was reconstructed, effectively becoming the "Queen's" Shelter. The starboard gunhouse was removed in its entirety, and a new shelter structure was built; this became the "King's" Royal Apartments, primarily for the accommodation of his staff.

All these images are "WIP" to varying degrees, but complete enough to resolve most salient details. I may decide to re-draw these in this forum's 2-pixel format, but much of the detail could be lost.

Thanks for viewing!

Excellent drawings.
Maybe you can post here the whole ship?
